As many of you know, I was fortunate enough to win a song writing competition which gave me the opportunity to travel to Belfast, Northern Ireland to perform in the 7th Belfast Nashville Songwriters Festival. I had a feeling this week would be a lot of fun, but I had no idea just how amazing it would end up being. From the very first day of the festival I knew it would be a special event. I was introduced to the music of so many fantastic Irish artists such as Foy Vance, Gareth Dunlop, and more. I got to see the lovely Nanci Griffith perform several times in very intimate environments. I got to meet, and swap songs with some of the most talented singers and songwriters in the world. But more than anything else, I made so many wonderful new friends this week. I am still absolutely reeling from the response that I received from the kind folks of Ireland. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate all of your kind words, and your support. Thank you so much for a fantastic week. I cannot wait to come back to Ireland to see you all again.
